Ascard Tablet is a blood thinner that is used to prevent heart attacks and strokes in those who have had a recent heart attack, stroke, or blood circulation problem (peripheral vascular disease). It’s also used in conjunction with aspirin to treat new or worsening chest pain (new heart attack, unstable angina), as well as to keep blood arteries open and prevent blood clots during specific procedures (such as cardiac stent). Clopidogrel acts by preventing platelets from adhering together and producing dangerous clots. It’s an antiplatelet medication. It aids in the smooth flow of blood throughout your body.
Upset stomach and heartburn may occur. If either of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
When not to use: It is contraindicated if the risk of bleeding is increased, such as with alcohol use, ulcers, or with bleeding disorders.
Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
